Data Collection

Lemne collects the following information to personalize your experience:

Baby profile: name, date of birth, and photo (optional)
Baby's health: measurements (weight, height) and pediatric consultation information (diagnoses and medications automatically extracted from the audio recording of the visit, which also captures the pediatrician's speech)
Questions for the visit: the questions you note between visits stay on your device while they are open, and are kept in your account once you bring them to a visit, together with that visit's record
Activity: sleep logs and developmental milestones
Approximate location: for weather forecasts and outfit suggestions (optional)
Authentication: Apple ID via Sign in with Apple
Email: the address linked to your account, used for authentication and to reach you about the service
What you write: titles and notes on the milestones you record
Photos and moments: the images you attach to your baby's milestones and moments, kept in your account
Support: messages you send through the contact form
Purchases: subscription history, used to unlock the features in your plan
App usage: interactions with features and general usage information (active plan, how many babies are in the profile, app version), gathered per installation and not by your name
Diagnostics: crash and performance reports, not linked to your identity
Preferences: app settings and notifications
Launch notice (website): if you leave your email on the lemne.com.br/primeiro-ano page and tick the consent box, we keep the email, the plan you said you would choose, and the ad you came from, only to let you know when the new Lemne opens. No app account is needed. The record is deleted automatically 90 days after your last submission, and you can ask for deletion earlier through the contact below

Local Processing

Privacy by design

The pediatric consultation recording is transcribed locally on your device, and the audio is discarded right after transcription (or within 7 days if transcription fails and needs to be redone). The recording captures the consultation conversation, including the speech of the pediatrician present. No audio file is sent to external servers. Only the text transcription is processed to generate the summary and the action plan.

Data Use

We use your data exclusively to:

Personalization: recommendations, weekly summaries, and consultation plans tailored to your baby
Analytics: understand usage patterns in aggregate
Synchronization: keep data up to date across devices

The legal basis. We process your data under two LGPD legal bases, which coexist: the consent you give in the app, specific and highlighted, including for health data (Article 7, I and Article 11, I); and the performance of the contract for the service formed when you use Lemne (Article 7, V). Data about the child is additionally governed by Article 14, covered in section 10. If you withdraw your consent, we stop processing whatever depends on it, and you can do that at any time, as described in section 08.

Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal information with advertisers. To generate Lu's answers, the consultation action plans, and the weekly summaries, snippets of text, such as your baby's age and routine and the consultation transcription, are sent to Google (Gemini API), acting as a data processor, solely to provide the service. No audio is sent, and this data is not used to train AI models.

Your data is stored and synced on Google Firebase (Google Cloud) infrastructure, also acting as a data processor.

International data transfer

Google processes this data on servers located outside Brazil, which constitutes an international data transfer. It is carried out under Article 33 of the LGPD, relying on the standard contractual clauses approved by the ANPD (Resolution CD/ANPD No. 19/2024), which are automatically incorporated into the data processing agreement with Google as a data processor. These clauses bind Google to the same level of protection required by Brazilian law.

Use of Artificial Intelligence

Lu, the assistant inside the app, runs on Google's Gemini. Every answer is written on the spot: the app puts together a request with the context it needs (your baby's age, the routine, what you have logged) and sends it to Gemini at that moment. Google acts as a data processor and does not use this content to train AI models.

What you write in your own words

What you write in the open answers, such as the Question of the Day, is sent to Google Gemini at the moment the answer is generated, because that is what lets Lu take into account what you shared. It is not kept on our servers. It stays on your device, so the app remembers the context, and it goes away if you delete the app.

Security

We implement layered security practices: encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest on Google Cloud / Firebase infrastructure, Keychain for on-device credentials, Sign in with Apple, and App Sandbox for data isolation.

Third-Party Services

Lemne uses services chosen for their high privacy standards:

Google Firebase (Google Cloud): authentication, storage and synchronization of your data and photos, analytics, crash and performance reports, notifications, and delivery of contact form messages
Gemini API (Google): artificial intelligence for answers, consultation summaries, and weekly summaries (does not train models with your data)
Vercel: hosting for the lemne.com.br website and page audience measurement, without cookies and without collecting personal data
Meta (Meta Pixel): only on the lemne.com.br/primeiro-ano page, which is where our ads lead. It records the visit and the form submission, with a Meta cookie, to measure how the ads perform. The pixel does not receive your email or your answers on the form. The rest of the website and the app do not use the pixel

Your Rights (LGPD)

You have control over your data: you can access it, correct it, or request complete deletion at any time. You can request an export of your data from support, which answers within the 15-day deadline set by Article 19 of the LGPD. You can also withdraw your consent whenever you want. For the child's data, whose subject is the child herself (section 10), these rights are exercised by you, as a parent or guardian, on her behalf.

Data Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. We do not run automatic purges for inactivity: your data stays available until you request deletion. Security backups are kept for up to three months. After a deletion request, data is removed immediately from our active systems and expires from backups within that window.

Children and Minors

Lemne is intended for parents and legal guardians aged 18 or older. Data about the baby is a child's personal data, and the child is its subject. Under Article 14 of the LGPD, this processing is always carried out in the child's best interest and with the specific consent of at least one parent or legal guardian, formalized through the caregiver's account. We apply reinforced protection to this data and collect only what is necessary for the app to work.

Changes to This Policy

This page is the policy in force, and the update date is always visible at the top: this is where you check what changed. A change that alters the purpose of processing is communicated to you before it takes effect, as required by Article 8, §6 of the LGPD, and you may withdraw your consent if you disagree.
